We are going to get lost! Seriously, we are going to the Amazing Maize Maze in Macedon. We will divide into teams, have a brief orientation, and then head into the 5 acre corn maze. There are puzzles to solve, map pieces to locate, and bragging rights to claim! When everyone emerges, we will celebrate with cider and donuts. Friends are always welcome to join us. Cost per person is $10.50. We will meet at 1 pm and should be finished by 4 pm. Dress warmly and please let Kim know if you plan to attend so that we don't go into the maze without you. If transportation is a problem, we can try to find you a ride - just let Kim know! Check out the website at www.longacrefarms.com.
At age 17, Kristen Anderson was so severely depressed she tried commit suicide by lying down in front of an oncoming train. God had other plans, however, because she survived. She has come through a long physical and emotional recovery and now she speaks to groups about depression and suicide prevention and how her faith got her through it all. She will be speaking at the Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Rochester on November 12 at 7:30 pm. Details here: Life, In Spite of Me.
This year we will support Patrick Place, a ministry of both St. Vincent's and St. Mary's parishes, through loving service as Catholics to the needs of this newly forming joint ministry. There will be multiple opportunities to support them as the year progresses. Check the service page to keep up with opportunities.
